The wind was under 5 mph this morning, making the water really glassy. Unfortunately the waves are still under knee high, only coming in about ankle to calf high. Water temp. is 83, and it is HOT! Tides today are high @ 4:27am (1.7ft) and low @ 7:15pm (-0.6ft).

Tues.6/30/09.9:30AM - Another repeat like yesterday- surf is ankle to barely knee high but good for the kiddo's or some tiny longboard rides- Hot & sunny with clear green water and really light winds this morning and not too much more wind later this afternoon. Water temp at 76-77 this morning but warming up in the afternoons lately to 82-83 degrees. Today's tides are high 12:14am 1.1ft low 5:17am 1ft high 8:24am 1ft low 4:57pm -0.2ft +++ Tropical disturbance we've been following has pretty much dissappeared last night and does'nt look likely to reform, but the coastal forecasts do indicate a small increase in wind swell Friday and thru the weekend+++

Mon.6/29/09.9:30AM- Surf still teeny weeny-ankle to chin high and does'nt look to be picking up the next couple days. Water temp at 78-79 dgerees this morning with light SE winds at 5-10mph today's tides are low 3:16am 0.7ft high 8:37am 1ft low 4:11pm 0.1ft +++Maybe some surf later in the week as tropical wave in the southern gulf is slowly drifting our direction but it is very weak and not expected to develop so we'll have to keep watching the next few days to see if our surf chances improve.+++

Nice green water with light SSE winds 5-10mph early this morning. Water temp cooled to 78-79 degrees overnight and today's tides are low 1:58am 0.2ft high 8:40am 1.1ft low 3:28pm 0.5ft high 9:15pm 1ft +++Keep an eye on the gulf- a weak tropical disturbance in the Yucatan channel could move into the Gulf of Mexico this week and there's a slight possibilty for development+++

Tues.4/14/09.10:00AM- the lined up swell from yesterday has been replaced with a few junky thigh to waist high wind waves this morning... 15-20mph ENE winds this morning and a little current going to the south. It may improve thru the afternoon with the winds turning ESE(helping it hit more straight and maybe build the size). Tues.4/7/09 10:00AM- Surf is glassy and flat this morning... breaking on the beach 1ft or less but no wind and sunny though. Looks like a sweet day at the beach for fishing from a kayak, just hanging or go havin a skate session at your favorite spot! Water temp a bit cooler at 66 degrees. Mon.3/30/09.10:00AM- Surf has really picked up, it's at least chest high or bigger but very windy from the SSE blowing 20-25+mph and a definite current heading north.... so either drift the open beach or do the N.Packery washing machine circuit. Water temp at 68 degrees and one tide today high at 8:38am 1.9ft then slowly falling all day.+++Winds blowing hard SE until tomorrow morning a front with hard north winds arrives.

Report: - Hard SSE winds 20-25+mph, surf is chest to head high with more current this morning than yesterday... could be fun drift or you can hide behind jetty at N.Packery where there was a head high mushy but decent wave there this morning. Water temp at 67 degrees and today's tides are high 4:21am 1.1ft,low 10:32am 0.5ft,high 3:55pm 0.9ft and low 10:16pm 0.1ft New Trunks and Bikinis are here too. Get geared up for Spring Break!! Sun. 2/15/09 9:00AM- Cooler with drizzly 20mph north winds, grey skies and small surf running only about thigh high this morning... bit of an ugly beach day... but there's a good chance the surf will get a little bigger thru today and you prolly won't have to share the lineup with too many others cuz most will wanna wait for a warmer day. Currently the remnants of our small SE windswell are getting slowly turned NE and will grow from the strong N-NE frontal winds today and become more easterly thru tues. A chance for another front hopefully with west winds again ths wed. Water temp at bob hall pier not reporting this morning but Pt. Aransas reading at 64 degrees and it's likely ours is down from last few days but a little warmer than there- guessing about 65-66 degrees at Bob Hall. Tides today are low 12:46am -0.3ft and high 10:20am 1.1ft
